Challenge

Miss Gorgeous by Jcee marked a major step for Run Da Mic Productions, London — our first Afroswing music video. Blending the smooth, rhythmic energy of Afroswing with a cinematic visual style pushed us to experiment in new ways. It was also our first time using an anamorphic lens, which meant rethinking how we handled focus, framing, and lighting. Balancing multiple lighting setups across different moods tested our adaptability, but every obstacle became a learning curve. The experience strengthened our skills and solidified our growth as a creative video production team in the UK, able to deliver bold, high-quality visuals for emerging genres.

made every challenge worth it.

Solution

To bring Miss Gorgeous to life, our team at Run Da Mic Productions London focused on experimentation and adaptability.

We spent time testing the anamorphic lens to understand how it shaped light and depth, ensuring every shot captured the smooth, rhythmic energy of this Afroswing music video.

For lighting, we built a flexible setup that could shift quickly between warm performance tones and cooler cinematic moods, keeping visuals consistent throughout production.

By communicating closely between the camera and lighting crew, we turned challenges into creative moments — proving our ability to deliver high-quality music video production in London that merges culture, style, and storytelling.

Video finalization

In post-production, our team at Run Da Mic Productions London focused on colour grading, editing, and final VFXto bring Miss Gorgeous to life — our first Afroswing music video.

We refined the anamorphic lens visuals, enhancing depth and lens flare while ensuring each lighting setup transitioned seamlessly across scenes.

We also worked closely with our overseas editor to complete the VFX work, combining ideas across time zones to achieve a polished, cinematic finish.

Collaborating with the dance team and post-production crew reminded us how powerful teamwork and attention to detail can be in creating bold, high-quality visuals that capture rhythm and style
